Signing "More"

Adam and I have been working with Avery on just a couple of words using sign language for months now in hopes to slowly introduce several different words eventually.  She is starting to sign "more" while she is eating and it is so cute and so wonderful that she can communicate with us!  We are also currently working on "finished" and "silly".  Avery has also begun to dance, shake her head and clap to music...she is very entertaining these days.

We had a productive Labor Day weekend!

Avery began crawling forwards, pulling up and clapping this weekend! She is also beginning to start to sign "more" while she is eating. So fun and So cute!!!

Plus, we got to do a lot of cheering for Bubba!!

1st Day of Preschool!!

Avery begins attending Shady Grove United Methodist Preschool today!  It is located less than a mile from the house and Julie will be dropping her off and picking her up because Allyson and Tanner will be attending as well!  She will only go Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-12, but I know she will love it and it will be great for her to be social!  ;)  They will do crafts, read bible stories, have snacks, stroll around outside, etc...  We are looking forward to getting our first artwork!

Avery's Baby Showers

Our family, friends and co-workers ended up throwing us a total of 3 baby showers!  And to think I was worried about not having everything I needed for Avery's arrival!  ;)  I absolutely love occasions that bring all of my friends and family together and enjoyed every moment of each and every shower!

My next post is overwhelming to even start!  Adam, Avery and I are one blessed little family to have such an amazing family around us to support us and to constantly be there when we need them!  THANK YOU to Mom, Karen & Matt, Dad & Lorrie, Erika, Grandma & Grandad, Lee & Kari, Dale, Aunt Sallie and the long list goes on!!

Fast Forward 2009 to 2010

I have a hard time remembering lots of little details... I've given that job to Adam, he has a great memory!  I remember lots of things by pictures and that's why I love taking LOTS and LOTS of pictures!  Adam and I had a tough couple of years while trying to get pregnant.  We had a miscarriage and tried our best to be patient and wait on God's perfect timing over the following 2 years until we finally got pregnant with Avery in March of 2010!  During that period of "patiently waiting" we were blessed with some amazing relationships in our life that helped take our mind off of our frustration and anxiety.  Marcy, Rob, Bubba and Angie entered our lives in late 2008 and we have had so many wonderful "adventures" with them!   From Birthday Parties, Eating Out, Movies, Video Games, Golf, Fire Pits, Lake Fun to our trips to Maui, Pebble Beach, Scottsdale, The Ellen Show, and Wales... they were all such a huge blessing in a time that Adam and I needed to be distracted the most!

WOW!  Thank you to The Watsons and The Harts for being such great friends!!  We always have so much fun when we are with you guys!!  Looking forward to our next adventure in October!! 

I have a lot of catching up to do!!

I have recently been inspired to update our blog!  Adam and I have had so many wonderful adventures over the last couple of years that I really haven't taken the time to sit down and document!  Our latest and best adventure of them all has been Avery and I really feel like I need to document her last 9 months!  So... I will try and bring this blog up to date.  Wish me luck!
